Fleder to Executive Produce Steven Bochco’s new legal drama in development at ABC — ABC has bought “Legal Affairs,” the latest one-hour drama from TV legend Steven Bochco, who will co-write the show with “Raising the Bar” writer/co-producer Jonathan Abrahams. “Legal Affairs” will be produced by ABC Studios and Mojo Films, with Abrahams, Bochco, and Gary Fleder serving as Executive Producers. ABC to develop “Beauty and the Beast” project from Mojo Films — ABC has bought “Beauty and the Beast,” a one-hour drama described as an “epic reimagining” of the classic legend. Gary Fleder and Mary Beth Basile will share executive producer duties for Mojo Films, with the show’s writer, Jonathan E. ABC to develop new Fleder/Tigelaar project — ABC announced on August 18, 2011 that it will develop “The Joneses,” a new series from the team that brought you “Life Unexpected,” based on the 2009 film by Derrick Borte. The movie starred Demi Moore and David Duchovny as parents of an all-American family that is not what it seems to be. The show’s executive producers include Echo Lake Productions, which produced the original movie; Gary Fleder and Mary Beth Basile of Mojo Films; and Liz Tigelaar. “Life Unexpected” returns on September 14! The second season of the CW’s hit series starts on Tuesday, September 14 (9:00/8:00 C) with an episode directed by Gary Fleder. Buzz about Season 2 is building, with the addition of new characters and a planned crossover with the long-running “One Tree Hill.” Spoilers are already starting to leak out about the new season, which will include several episodes directed by Fleder, who is also the show’s executive producer.
“Life Unexpected” to return for a second season! The CW announced on May 18 that “Life Unexpected,” produced by Mojo Films with CBS Television Studios and Warner Brothers Studios, has been renewed for the 2010-2011 television season. Protection is the story of a college professor who discovers that his wife and daughter have disappeared into the federal Witness Protection Program — and he has no idea why.
